I thought you may be interested in the attached footage of log truck driving behaviour on Birralee Road.

In the experience of myself and others I can assure you that this is an everyday occurrence. It occurs on a road which the state government continues to allow b-doubles to use, despite it being below state, national and most importantly, PBS standards.
The bridge the truck is crossing is nowhere near the required 8.2m in width.

This video has been sent to the NHVR – and despite initially claiming to take such incidences ‘very seriously’, after a month I do not believe the complainant has had an outcome.

If you wouldn’t mind, could this please be anonymous. However I think it highlights the Department of State Growth’s complete refusal to consider the safety of residents and commuters, particularly as this route saves a grand total of five minutes on taking the category 1, national highway route through Launceston.
