DARKLAB ENCOURAGES PATRONS TO GET THEIR DOUBLE DOSE

Mona’s DarkLab has launched an awareness campaign to encourage people to get their double dose of COVID-19 vaccination, to support the music and entertainment industry in recovering from the impacts of lockdowns and border restrictions.

“The arts industry is struggling across Australia, many artists and organisations are hanging by a thread. It is critical that we get back to unrestricted full venue capacity as soon as possible,” DarkLab’s Raef Sawford said.

In central Hobart, DarkLab has installed a huge banner on the front of the old Jetty Surf building at the corner of Elizabeth and Liverpool Streets, above the inner-city Coronavirus community vaccination clinic.

A QR code is featured on the banner which can be scanned by smartphones, rewarding people who are fully vaccinated with an offer of two-for-one drinks at DarkLab’s venue In The Hanging Garden on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Keep checking in for more two-for-one offers available soon.

“We’re encouraging everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible, to revive our entertainment industry and support our artists, performers and audiences. Our ‘Get Your Double Dose’ campaign is a small gesture towards helping get the show back on the road,” Sawford said.

DarkLab encourages you to play your part in supporting the creative industries—and if you are not yet vaccinated, please visit coronavirus.tas.gov.au to make a booking.
