Statement – Bruny Island Bird Festival, 29 August 2021
New Date – Bruny Island Bird Festival 2022
Hello everyone, today we are announcing a change in the dates for the upcoming Bruny Island Bird Festival.
As it is increasingly looking like many of our mainland Australia bird loving friends may be unable to travel to Tasmania this year, we have decided to move the Festival to 25 – 27 March 2022.
This will be our first Autumn Bruny Bird Festival, and we are excited to embrace this new time of year for the Festival. March is an excellent time of year for birding in Tasmania.
With the fantastic news that we have just received funding from a Federal government tourism grant, we are moving forward with all the exciting science, conservation, community and creative events and activities planned for the March 2022 Bruny Island Bird Festival.
Thank you all for your ongoing enthusiasm, support and encouragement, we look forward to seeing you on beautiful Bruny Island in March 2022 to celebrate the wonderful birdlife of Tasmania.
