A major new industry initiative has been designed to help Tasmanians promote the island’s tourism industry and visitor economy.

The Tassie Tourism Ambassador Program is a new free online resource for tourism operators, staff, volunteers, community members and pretty much everyone involved in Tasmania’s visitor economy.

The Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania program is now live featuring the first destination module – Tasmania’s wild and spectacular west coast.

If you live and work on the west coast, or simply want to know a little more about this unique and special part of Tasmania – jump on now, register at no cost, and become a Tassie Tourism Ambassador.

If the west coast is not your part of Tasmania – don’t worry – you can still register and complete the general modules – packed full of useful information and insights on the tourism industry, story telling, and tips tip on exceeding customer’s expectations.

TICT is working on the next destination module – the east coast of Tasmania – right now, with further destination modules to be rolled out over coming months.
