Hobart House Rents Surge Past National Median

Median Hobart house rents are now above the national average, a recent report shows.

The Domain Rent Report for the June 2021 quarter puts the Hobart figure at $495, above the national median of $477.

Hobart rents are also higher than mainland capitals Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Only Sydney and the ‘small capitals’ Darwin and Canberra are higher than Hobart.
