Derwent election result confirmed
A provisional distribution of preferences for Derwent has been completed today with Craig Farrell (11,272 votes) being re-elected as the Member for the division of Derwent ahead of Ben Shaw (8,952 votes). Results can be found on the TEC website. Final provisional votes (70) and all remaining postal votes will be processed and counted on Tuesday 11 May.
With the result known for the Derwent election, the declaration of the poll will be conducted by the returning officer Sally Isles at:
10:00am Saturday 8 May, 2021 on the steps of the Legislative Council, Murray St, Hobart.
Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
Election for the division of Windermere – update
All received Windermere ballot papers have now been rechecked and amalgamated. With three candidates still in the race, and the likely outcome unknown, the distribution of preferences will take place after the end of the postal period on Tuesday 11 May.
