Echo: A Festival of the Senses returns on 26 March for a weekend that will be promises much of Tasmania’s cultural and culinary talent.
While other Tasmanian events centre their programs and offerings on interstate and international talent, Echo claims to celebrates the vibrancy of the island, working closely with visual artists, producers, chefs and musicians based across the regions and songlines of Tasmania.
“It’s a gathering of good souls and celebration of our community, history, and the island’s natural beauty,” say the organisers.
This adults-only festival offers a range of experiences across food, sciences, nature, and art.
Founder and Creative Producer Ange Boxall says: “The 2021 program celebrates everything at the heart of ECHO: community, stories, authentic experiences and the coming together of cultural and culinary legends. It is a celebration and representation of who we are on the Island. We crave these experiences more than ever, and after the year we’ve all had, I can’t wait to come back together.”
“This past year has not only starved us of artistic and cultural experiences, we’ve been deprived on a sensory level – touch, shared tastes, sounds, and scent. ECHO warmly wakes us up, and takes us on a journey of exploration to reignite those senses, whilst forging unforgettable memories.”
Tickets available via the ECHO website.
