Bureau of Meteorology climatologist Jonathan Pollock discusses Tasmania’s April climate summary.

Interesting points from the month were:

  • Tasmania’s wettest April since 1960, 10th wettest April on record
  • Orford had 121.4mm on 3rd April, setting new highest daily rainfall record
  • Daytime temps (max) mostly below average, night time temperatures (min) above average.
  • Outlook for May favours above average rainfall in west, and northern Tasmania likely wetter during coming winter.
