Media Release

Hello, my name is Richard Griggs …

I am an Independent Candidate for your electorate, Nelson, in the Tasmanian Upper House elections to be held in May this year.

I am writing to invite you to my mobile office. I would very much like to meet you and hear the issues that are on your mind. Please come and say hello.

The mobile office will be on the second and fourth Saturday of each month between now and election day in May, from 12 noon to 1pm on Sandy Bay Road between Waimea Avenue and the old Jet Service Station.

If you are unable to come by my mobile office please contact me directly to tell me the issues that matter to you.

I lived in Nelson for most of my life, and I continue to work here today as a lawyer in Sandy Bay. As a Member of Parliament I would listen to the community, be proactive and keep government accountable.

I stand for:

investing in people through good education, transport and health care;

protecting our environment, such as water quality at beaches on the Derwent River; and

a prosperous Tasmania which welcomes investment but ensures it occurs on terms which benefit Tasmanians

I look forward to meeting you over the coming weeks.
