Animals Tasmania have just relaunched the Bushfire Fund for Wildlife, which was so successful after the 2013 Dunalley fires. As fires rage through large areas of the Tasmanian natural landscape, massive habitat loss for native species is taking place. Native animals are being burned or becoming orphaned.
“Wildlife carers will be under considerable pressure in coming days and weeks dealing with the tragedy that is currently unfolding.” said Chris Simcox, spokesperson for Animals Tasmania, “Please help them by donating to our fund so that we can provide urgent assistance to carers, and to the wild creatures.”
“Assistance will also be needed to provide feed for hungry wildlife. The fund will help wildlife rescuers and carers to provide food drops in affected areas.” said Mr Simcox.
