Jenny loved Launceston and the community of wonderful friends she found within it since her arrival in Tasmania. It was her wish for some of her ashes be scattered in her beloved Cataract Gorge; the place she referred to as one of the wonders of the world that held a very spiritual significance for her, and we are delighted to announce that we’ll be down at Christmas to fulfil this wish.
The Chester kids (Jake, Sam and Polly) would be honoured if you would join us for a celebration of Jenny’s life on the 28th of December from 10am. Let’s meet in the Fairy Dell, and share memories (including songs or poems if you like) for Jenny, then if you like, join us for a refreshment in The First Basin Cafe afterward.
Please feel free to share the event and invite people who you think would like to come (other friends we don’t know or perhaps your parents) and if you want to share a memory, song or poem on the day, please bring something along. It’ll be a pretty ad-hoc event with no formal celebrant – just an informal celebration with friends.
Please wear yellow, and don’t worry about bringing flowers – The Gorge is decorated enough!
