The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. No price is too high for the privilege of owning yourself. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

Considered in isolation, any debate about population limits ends up as a rudderless idea. Only when looked at in the context of Nature, and natural law, is it possible to get a rudder and a direction, connecting any population debate with reality. The force in natural law for expansion has to be considered, and what this means for humans. The primary force for expansion can be seen at the dawn of time, when space-time swiftly stretched from nothing to infinity, allowing the universe to happen. Expansion can be seen when stars explode, spreading stardust into space to form new stars, with rocky planets like Earth, where life began, and the survival of the fittest delivered the human tool-maker, which has been able to build the means to go into space, which would expand life beyond Earth. To ignore expansion is to scream at at the face of Nature, and that is crazy behaviour. So do we need to wonder if the root cause of human strife is from ignoring Nature, thinking we know it all, and attempting to survive on Earth alone, when the whole momentum of Nature from the dawn of time was driving expansion, with the survival of the fittest delivering ever new forms of diversity? In this context, the human problem is a form of amnesia, and or outright denial, forgetting, and or denying that Mother Nature is still at work, driving expansion and evolution, where the fittest must run like the wind to hold any hope of survival. That is the way of Nature works, and we are not exempt from natural law. What humans have been able to do, is to build a buffer against the forces of Nature, but attempting to survive on Earth alone, that buffer is now wearing thin, as we kill Nature in so many ways. Attempting to apply unnatural controls on expansion on Earth alone, is a doomed fantasy, as human activity is busting the planet at the seems. Anyone interested and prepared to investigate, can find that the space option came on-line in the 1970s, and can figure out what happens in the next phase of human evolution in space, along with our machines. Understanding expansion and survival is the key to population management. Asteroids can end our game on Earth, as can too much heat, delivered by burning too much fossil fuel for too long. On Earth alone, our survival is at risk, and the health of the planet is being damaged as a consequence. The fossil fuel monopolies have wanted to keep people focused on the Earth, to keep flogging fossil fuels. Earth-only population control fits the fossil fuel agenda perfectly. Beware of repeating and spreading fossil fuel propaganda.
