Followed by a walk in the private conservation area to one of the more accessible caves featured in the story and a picnic lunch (bring your own)
This is a great opportunity to inspire school holiday activities such as reading, story writing, art work, historical research, exploration and bush adventures.
Deidree has been passionate about Nan Chauncy’s writing for many years; she has been reading to classes for the past 18 months as part of the Storyville program, which sends actors into schools. Deidree appears from time to time in local dramatic productions. She is delighted to be able to offer this opportunity.
The reading will be filmed as part of a documentary about Chauncy Vale, being made by caretaker Sam Hilton. Parents are welcome to attend the reading and are required to accompany the walk.
