Close, eh, Rob? Now for the internal Liberal bloodbath.

Actually it has already begun in NSW with Molan not getting the numbers. This does not augur well for Morrison, Kelly etc. Their pre-selections might be safe, but throughout NSW there will be little appetite amongst the rank and file for helping them, whereas the “moderates” will have the numbers in the short term.

There’s a lot of work ahead for Uncle Otto’s nephew and his mates.

Yesterday’s announcement that RCR Tomlinson was burned by over-investment in Solar energy in Qld which has sent the company into receivership could have a last minute effect on the Victorian election where Dan Andrews is keen to expand Renewables with lots of government money poured into ambitious schemes.

Personally I would trust that Matthew Guy knows what he is talking about when it comes to reliable and more affordable energy as well as tougher laws to protect Victoria from ongoing terrorism.

It could be a close election.

Rob, RCR Tomlinson were contractors and misquoted. What has this really got to do with over-investment in solar energy?

When they are undercutting other players in the industry by tens of millions of dollars on contracts that have very skinny margins as it is — it is suicidal.

Anyone with half a brain could see they were not going to deliver to those jobs and make any profit whatsoever.

It’s a bit like Gunns .. they took on more than they could chew and cost contractors and investors millions. It had nothing to do with reliable and more affordable energy.
