3. Call or write to Councillors before next week’s meeting
Thank you to those who have already contacted Councillors. You DO have an impact! We need as many people as possible contacting all Councillors with their concerns about Cambria Green. Please urge Councillors, respectfully, to carefully consider the implications to Swansea and surrounding areas should the Cambria Green Specific Area Plan be approved. With four new Councillors elected, your letters and phone calls will be even more important. Click HERE for Councillor contact details.
Why is this meeting important?
The Section 39 Report has been prepared by the Council’s planning department based on the merits of 620 representations (submissions) received on the Cambria Green planning scheme amendment application (Specific Area Plan).
While the final decision rests with the Tasmanian Planning Commission, Glamorgan Spring Bay Councillors CAN change their initial vote and recommend rejecting the Draft Amendment after consideration of the Section 39 Report and all submissions.
The ECA will provide updates on Tasmanian Planning Commission hearing dates, venues and the process once confirmed. We expect the first round of public hearings to be held in December.
Don’t hesitate to contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about the process.
