Samara Pepperell aka Lady Trample lands in Hobart today to coach a series of skate clinics for women and girls. Samara is a world champion roller derby athlete based in Melbourne and founder of Chicks in Bowls – an international female skate group with thousands of members worldwide who roll up en-mass to skate bowls doing tricks and skills on quad skates.

Bec Taylor organised the event through Convict City Rollers and says it is the first of its kind in the state. “We have coaches come and coach roller derby and coaches come and coach skateboarding, but Trample is doing something that few coaches do. She is inspiring women all over the world to throw on roller skates and head to skate parks to learn new skills and build community.”

Skaters from all over the state are coming to Hobart for the event which runs all day Sunday October 14th.
