Letter to the Editor on Michael Ferguson …

Dear Editor,

How long can it take to get some  real improvement in our Health System ?

Five years after the Liberal Government was elected, Minister Michael Ferguson is still trying to blame all of the ongoing problems on the Labor Party.

We have had  numerous promises of extra beds, increased staffing and hundreds of millions promised for  extra funding, but nothing seems to be getting better.

The Royal Hobart emergency department is always overcrowded, there are never enough beds, and the ambulances are still ramped up outside !

There are no reports of this happening in the much larger cities of Sydney and Melbourne, so it  must be either bad management, underfunding or both.

It is high tine that the Premier followed the advice of Sue Hickey, and reviewed how they are failing miserably to meet the expectations   of Tasmanians.

And now the Tasmanian GP numbers are in crisis. A Devonport clinic is down to one GP.

They are all leaving the state because of Ferguson’s smirking head-up-arse incompetence.

The more taxpayer money that goes into forestry, aquaculture, privatising state and national parks and irrigating a drying landscape, the less money there is for essential services and negating Climate Change.

The needs of Tasmanian citizens and the environment don’t matter. Only the pockets of business interests and politicians do.
