Francis M. Nevins Jr. aptly articulates that, “ An incomprehensible universe is best reflected in an incomprehensible story”.

It is difficult to find adequate words when addressing the vast yet fundamental questions that surround the meaning of life. These very conversations are easily deemed outdated.

Perhaps, purely by existing, we qualify to contribute to the discussion. Even if no one is listening. Even if the cosmos itself appears indifferent.

‘Further’ responds to absurdity with an equally absurd story; an anecdote of chasing that which cannot be caught, waiting for things that will indeed never come and creating ones own meaning when in truth there is none. All of this unfolds upon Hobart’s defunct railway and its abandoned stations. Beneath the unblinking universe.
