Premier Hodgman yesterday dodged questions from Labor Leader Rebecca White over his involvement in the termination of Angela Williamson from Cricket Australia.
Ms White said the Premier had questions he must answer:
• What discussions has he had with Cricket Tasmania CEO Nick Cummins regarding the matter?
• Did he discuss Angela Williamson with Cricket Tasmania Board members at this year’s Ricky Ponting Medal?
• Does the Premier believe Michael Ferguson first learnt of Ms Williamson’s surgical termination via twitter, as he claims?
• Did he or anyone in his office tell Michael Ferguson about Ms Williamson’s surgical termination?
• Which other members of the Premier’s Government have spoken to Cricket Tasmania/Australia officials on this matter?
“What does the Premier have to hide?” Ms White said.
“The only way to get to the bottom of this fiasco is a proper, fully independent investigation.”
