Devonport Gallery is offering Life Drawing Classes at the Gallery. The sessions will begin on Wednesday 29 August and run for five weeks.
Latrobe artist June Wilson will again be tutoring these very popular classes, which are suitable for experienced artists as well as beginners.
Art Gallery Director Geoff Dobson said life drawing improved an artist’s observational skills and their overall drawing technique.
“The key for beginners is to learn to look and draw what you see and not what you know about the human body. And for the experienced artists, life drawing is the art form that keeps you sharp and focused, whilst remaining self-critical, he said.
“June is a very experienced life drawing teacher, who encourages you to observe closely but work freely.”
Places are limited. All materials are supplied by the gallery. To book, call the gallery on 6424 8296 or email [email protected]
