The Mercury – which bills itself as the Voice of Tasmania – seems to have left its tongue somewhere in NSW or Queensland …
An article on page 19 of Monday’s Mercury, comparing energy plans of different providers, seemed to be strangely ignorant of the fact that Tasmania’s market is a state-owned monopoly with one energy electricity retailer … Aurora.
The Hobart Mercury seemed ignorant of this fact – which is well-known to everyone with electricity in Tasmania.
It’s good to know the Mercury is there for its community … even though it’s in Townsville … or Timbuktoo.
