The complainant in a high-profile rape trial has spoken publicly to promote conversations about sexual assault and consent.

Speaking to the ABC’s Four Corners yesterday, Saxon Mullins, 23, revealed she was the accuser in a 2013 rape charge against Luke Lazarus. The resulting five-year legal battle saw Lazarus, 21 at the time of the incident, convicted and serve 11 months jail before being acquitted on appeal. “It got to be over for everybody else, there’s no other avenues, everyone’s done, everyone goes home, and then it’s just me”, Mullins said of the legal process …
