Saturday
• A trough crossed the state on Saturday and brought a rainband and then showers from the afternoon onwards.
• At 4pm, totals reported since 9am were 21.6mm at Verwood, 18.6mm at Mt Morriston, 17.8mm at Deloraine and 15.6mm at Launceston.
Sunday
• A cold front with another rainband moves over the state around midday Sunday as a complex low approaches from the southwest.
• Totals of 20-40mm of rain are expected in the west and north, but locally up to 50mm possible about the Western Tiers and NE highlands, and 5-15mm elsewhere.
• Possible thunderstorms on Sunday with the front, more likely about the north in the morning.
• Strong and gusty winds on Sunday afternoon and evening about the north.
• The snowline is expected to sit around 1100–1200 metres Sunday night.
Monday
• The complex low is expected to pass to the south of the State on Monday, bringing strong and gusty southwesterly winds on Monday, particularly about the northwest.
• Rain is expected to ease late Sunday but showers will continue overnight and an additional 10-25mm of rain is expected in the west on Monday, but less than 5mm elsewhere
