Lawyers representing the State of Tasmania have today formally lodged a notice of dispute with Basslink Pty Ltd claiming damages as a result of the 2015 Basslink outage.
The notice of dispute details expenses in mitigation of losses incurred as a result of the outage, totalling $122 million.
This matter will now progress through a dispute resolution process, which may lead to arbitration.
The Tasmanian Government will not provide any further comment at this stage.
