The low to the northeast of Tasmania is approaching slower than anticipated, but is still expected to bring rainfall totals of 15 to 40 mm to the Furneaux Islands and east coast this evening.
Depending on the proximity of the low, falls in excess of 40 mm are possible. Isolated falls may reach 80 mm to 90 mm if the low moves closer to Tasmania than currently predicted.
A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rain has been issued for eastern Tasmania.
A Flood Watch has been issued for eastern Tasmania, and an initial Minor Flood Warning for the South Esk River.
A Strong Wind Warning is current for East of Flinders Island and the Upper East Coast on Wednesday, and including the Lower East Coast on Thursday.
A Warning to Sheep Graziers has been issued for eastern Tasmania.

Falls of up to 5 mm are expected in the east on Thursday morning before the low moves away to the southeast. A cold front crossing Tasmania in the afternoon will bring further falls of up to 10 mm to the east later in the afternoon and evening.
