It is a real pleasure to be able to congraulate you on your leadership an a great outcome for Same Sex Marriage.
As a straightish WASP I am delighted by the achievement.
Similarly I’m 8th generation Anglo Aussie and not a refugee, but the joy many In this nation will feel when all refugees have freedom to participate fully in our community will be as exuberant and authentic as anything expressed today. Even those who oppose gay marriage.
We are big enough to absorb that change. The wars my Dad fought are over. This is a more colourful way to live
I want hope for the vulnerable and voiceless.
Fortress Australia doesn’t move me. Respect for diversity does. Turn back the racism.
