Under the Hodgman Government’s long-term Plan, 11,700 jobs have been created, the unemployment rate has dropped to 5.9 per cent and annual employment growth is the second highest in the country.
The ABS figures released today, show that the Hodgman Government is delivering on its commitment to create jobs.
The participation rate also remains at its highest level in two years.
While these results are welcome, we need to do a lot more.
That’s why the budget included a $25 million jobs package, which is clearly delivering results.
That’s why we have also outlined ambitious targets to have the lowest unemployment rate of all states by 2022.
