 Reshuffle highlights lack of talent in Liberal ranks
 Under-performing Ministers Ferguson and Petrusma remain despite crises
 No-one on back bench seen as worthy of promotion
Labor Leader Rebecca White said today’s reshuffle from the Government highlighted a lack of talent in the Liberal ranks while not addressing the key issues undermining its performance.
“This reshuffle does nothing to stabilise a Government in chaos because it does not address the Liberals’ core problems,” Ms White said.
“Underperforming and under-fire Ministers Jacquie Petrusma and Michael Ferguson remain in Human Services and Health despite lurching from crisis to crisis.
“Does the Premier endorse their performance or is he simply out of options?
“Tellingly, the Premier has turned around and not seen one worthy candidate on his back bench worthy of promotion despite there being a position in Cabinet available.
“It’s a clear statement about the talent or lack thereof that makes up the numbers for the Government and a reminder of the missed opportunity for the Member for Braddon Adam Brooks who remains in limbo waiting for an email audit for the past 15 months.
“In an embarrassing oversight the Government forgot about Adam Brooks altogether, not even listing him as a member of their team when the Premier first made the announcement.
“In contrast Labor has a united shadow ministry, with a good mix of emerging and established talent that is ready to put people first and govern for all Tasmanians.”
