The 2017-18 Glenorchy RSL Bocce Club OZ Bocce Season starts on Thursday 5 October 2017.
OZ Bocce is a fun filled event that all ages can enjoy, which allows participants to have a go at Bocce in a relaxed atmosphere, with opportunities for coaching and tips if one so wishes. There is a BBQ and drinks for sale, making it an enjoyable night towards the end of the working week.
GOOD NEWS, the first week you come along during the season is FREE!!!
There is no need to form a team before registering, both individuals and groups of people are welcome to come along, with no requirement to come every week as games are organised on the night based on who turns up.
Bocce balls and equipment are provided by the Bocce club.
Although it is a relaxed atmosphere, results of all games played go towards the 2017-18 Glenorchy RSL OZ Bocce Champion.
Costs are:
• $8 night including a BBQ, first week of attendance is FREE
• $30 for an annual social membership or $35 for a full membership.
OZ Bocce veteran David Williams, who has also had experience in representing Tasmania in the 2015 Bass Strait Cup against Victoria, was the clear winner of the 2016-17 Bocce Season, backing up from 2015-16 and making it his 3rd OZ Bocce Season victory. The other places getters last season, both first time on the podium were:
• 2nd – Peter Kern
• 3rd – Kurt Hauser.
