I have a family member that spends at least 7 months of every year in a high security mental institution. His immediate family is very religious and they did not want him at his own mother’s funeral in case he disrupted the service. They relented when it was pointed out to them that he had every right to be there as he was considered well enough to be discharged from hospital. He did very well with his grief until the interment, when he declared that he was Jesus Christ and that his mother would rise from her grave to join us all for tea and sandwiches. No-one was offended and he is always welcomed at that particular church.

One assumes religion = love and care …
Religion is sold to the masses as … champion of the underdog.
But that isn’t true … it’s NEVER been true.
Religion of many a persuasion = money and control.
Doctrine says … policy for wealth and control.
A rich mans game … to a poor persons hope for slavation, – sorry I mean their rich (religious) purpose of salvation – to make the liars, cheats, con artists feel good.
Why are religions/churches tax exempt? Whilst many are so rich.
Can someone please explain?

During the 70s-80s every psychiatric hospital in Victoria had a Chapel. A student nurse at Royal Park in Melbourne, all religions were welcome in the non-denominational service. Take communion if you wish. Have a snooze on the pew. Go for a wander and check the Chapel out. A jewish man snorts his snuff. An aboriginal stares into dreamtime. A Vietnam Veteran prays alone while a suicidal mother cries her heart out; then the congregation bursts into laughter when the ‘tipsy’ Chaplin (it’s 10am) drops the holy chalice. A schizophrenic proclaims, “The devil is warning us, repent or go to hell”! The grandiose manic has the last say. “Follow me peasants – for I am the way of the Lord”. ALL patients had two things in common: A mental illness and the right to freedom of expression, regardless of your chosen God. See the light Family Voice, it is you who have lost your spiritual way. Are lepers welcome?

How typically, Christian… discriminate against some of the the most vulnerable in society… If they banned paedophiles from attending church services, there would be even fewer attendees either in front of, or behind, the pulpit…
