After 4 years of chaos, yesterday we saw Malcolm Turnbull announce his new plans for school education funding.
Instead of cutting $30 billion, he’s cutting $22 billion.
That’s $2.4 million from every school in Tasmania, affecting every school child.
“This decision locks in less money for every school child in Tasmania, a state that needs to lift school outcomes, not drop them,” said Lyons Labor MP Brian Mitchell.
“This government has its priorities all wrong.
“A $25 billion handout for big business and a $22 billion cut for school funding.
“Under the Liberals it’s easier for CEOs to buy a corporate jet but harder for teachers to buy school books.”
