I just wanted to share with you a major fundraiser that we are having for the Ulverstone Outreach Ministry and the African Outreach Ministry.

The Ulverstone Outreach Ministry is run by the Bridge of Life Church in West Ulverstone, they also support the African Outreach Ministry. The Outreach Op Shop in Ulverstone provides funds from all items sold 50% to The Ulverstone Outreach Ministry for their work in Ulverstone and surrounding areas and 50% to The African Outreach Ministry for their work that the church support in Mityana Uganda.

We are holding the Tasmanian Outreach Ministry Quest 2017 to raise funds to further this outreach work in both locations and also in surrounding areas. All entrants raise funds through fundraising projects they undertake with some of the profits going back into prizes for the entrants and the other profits getting divided between the two ministries. Outreach work will also be undertaken in any entrants location also even tho funds raised are mainly for these two ministries, this will be discussed with each entrant on what they think can be done where they live.

Some of the work the Ulverstone Outreach Ministry team undertake is making up emergency packs for those that are rushed to hospital unexpectedly or involved in a accident and need staples to get them through the next few days with the many things they have to attend to or visitors arriving. They also provide these packs for the loss of a love one and they are available for other purposes as required. They provide vouchers for people in need through different agency’s for clothing in their op shop free of charge, and many other different projects are currently in the pipe line.

Some of the work the African Outreach Ministry team undertake is looking after the poor and homeless children in Mityana with schooling, health and nutrition, housing, sponsorship through their sponsorship program of children individually or through their ministry to be able to keep the children living with their own family and relatives instead of being placed in a orphanage.

The African Outreach Ministry team are heading over to Mityana on the 1st March for the month to work with the ministry team their on their goals, hopes and dreams into the future, meeting approximate 30 new children that require sponsorship immediately and other children waiting to be sponsored.

We are hoping that you maybe able to run a story on our quest so we can get the word out to the people in Tasmania on this quest that will be starting for expressions of interest and we would also loved to talk to your more in detail about the two ministries and their work, the op shop, our sponsoring of children. We are more than happy on our return to come and speak to groups, churches, business and also do a slide presentation on our trip.
