Allegri Ensemble, conducted by Andrew Bainbridge, is pleased to present Sing Noël, a beautiful concert of Christmas choral music on December 17th at 8 pm. Celebrate Christmas in style in the beautiful ambience of St Mary’s Cathedral when Allegri Ensemble performs favourite festive songs, carols & motets, including arrangements for the Kings’ Singers by Bob Chilcott & Daryl Runswick.

The program includes “Song of the Nuns of Chester”, the sublime “Ave Maria” of Parsons, Victoria “O magnum mysterium”, the Advent spiritual “Pretty home”, Joubert “There is no rose of such virtue”, Brumby “Three Kings in great glory”, Chilcott “Mid-winter”, Byrd “Laetentur coeli”, Weelkes “Gloria in excelsis”, Byrt “All and some”, Poulenc motet “Quem vidistis pastores dicite”, Robinson “Prepare ye”, Praetorius “Resonet in laudibus” and Rutter “What sweeter music”.
