There are only two weeks left to nominate inspiring Tasmanian women or women’s organisations you think deserve to be added to the Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women.
Launched in 2005, the Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women is an ongoing initiative of the Tasmanian Government.
To date 282 women and women’s organisations have been inducted.
Women make an outstanding contribution to every area of Tasmanian society.
The honour roll is an ideal way to pay tribute to their many and varied achievements by publicly acknowledging their accomplishments.
Previous inductees have come from a diverse cross section of the Tasmanian community.
Their achievements have been at local, state, national and international level.
The achievements of deceased Tasmanian women are also a feature of the honour roll.
Posthumous nominations are accepted and are a wonderful final tribute to some amazing women.
Anyone reading the biographies of the women already on the honour roll will be inspired by the achievements of the women of Tasmania.
These women serve as excellent role models for the next generation.
It is anticipated that there will be 20 to 30 new women and women’s organisations inductees in 2017.
