Dear All,
Today I lost my soulmate of 33 years. At 10.40 pm tonight ( July 29 ) my dearest Paul passed away.
He was ailing from a number of age related issues – diabetes etc, but the shocking treatment from the Council over the floods here in Lorinna on 6 June, in my view, removed his will to go on.
I am blessed to have our beautiful children supporting me at this time.
Thankyou so much to all of you who helped look after our animals this evening.
All of us are home here now.
We are so fortunate to live in the midst of such a caring community.
Cherish those precious people in your lives, and love them as though every day is your last together.
With my love to all of you,
Geraldine
• Geraldine in Comments: Thankyou Pete. The coffin was cardboard, and was supplied by the only “eco funeral” people our daughter Catherine could find in Tassie , Serenity funerals. It was Paul’s wish to return to the forest that provided the poles for our home, and give the forest something back. No chemicals, everything biodegradable. Friends here insisted on digging and preparing his grave. It was a beautiful way to say goodbye to him. Love to you all, Geraldine
