Tasmanians are reeling regarding the shambolic nature of the 2016 Census after the ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) was shut down, putting an end to many Tasmanians completing the Census.
The ABS is claiming that the census website had been attacked by overseas hackers four times and was consequently shut down as a security precaution.
The Turnbull Government has failed to not only communicate to the public a coherent message regarding Census 2016, it has failed to ensure the security and digital defences of the Census, putting personal information at risk.
Tasmanians have now been left wondering what they must do next and whether their personal information is safe.
Many members of the public are again feeling distressed over privacy concerns and with the shear lack of information forthcoming from the Turnbull Government.
The Turnbull Government has turned a national survey into a convoluted and shambolic mess leaving the entire country frustrated.
Members of the public continue to contact me personally and through my office demanding that the Government ensure that they will not be fined.
I encourage Mr Turnbull and his Liberal colleagues to stop taking Tasmanians for granted because the public are becoming increasingly frustrated with the incompetence of this Liberal Government and the lack of information and answers as to why the Census has become an absolute shambles.
