The Hodgman Liberal Government is focused on health, education and protecting the vulnerable.
Earlier this year, the Government outlined its agenda for 2016 and we are committed to delivering on the over 200 initiatives that we have identified.
Today, we are releasing an update on AGENDA 2016 for the period between March and June this year.
Fifty-seven of the initiatives have been completed, three have been delayed due to external factors and two have been substantially delivered and will be completed by the end of the month.
Under the Hodgman Liberal Government, Tasmania is now heading in the right direction. We have a clear, long-term Plan for Tasmania and we are delivering.
Broadly, we are seeing our health system improve, with elective surgery waiting lists at their lowest recorded levels, more students are in school with more options to get a better education, we are acting to address family violence and we are improving the services that vulnerable Tasmanians rely on. In addition to that, our economy is strong, employment is increasing and industries like tourism, retail, building and construction, agriculture and aquaculture are booming.
There is still a lot more to be done, that’s why we will continue to implement our Plan as outlined in AGENDA 2016.
