Now to a report on our Last Appeal, which raised the grand total of $3675.
It is with immense thanks that we salute you for your astonishing generosity.
Our initial estimate to make TT mobile-friendly was around $3000. We managed that easily. Thank you.
Turns out we were way off the mark. Because of the huge volume of archives … turns out it would be more like around $10,000.
So, we have changed our plans a little. Stastistics have actually gone up even though we have been downgraded by Google. So we are planning a different strategy … we are desperate to get into the Google News Index. To do that we need to run articles only with fully-attributed pictures.
Thus, we plan to update the Expression Engine technology (we are about 6-8 years out of date in terms of upgrades) and create a dedicated Articles blog.
This won’t cost a helluva lot.
But because our appeal was based on a desire to be mobile-friendly, we are delighted to offer reimbursement of any of that $3675 raised. Write to me at [email protected] if you want to be reimbursed for those incredibly kind gifts.
