Nearly 550 flood affected Tasmanians have lodged claims with RACT Insurance since Monday, as the damage bill reaches an estimated $2.3 million.
RACT Insurance CEO Trent Sayers said the hardest hit areas in terms of claims lodged have been Latrobe, Wynyard and Forth in the state’s North West.
“RACT Insurance assessors are continuing to work with flood affected residents to ensure their claims are processed as quickly as possible,” said Mr Sayers.
“To assist Tasmanians to lodge claims, RACT Insurance will maintain the increased staff numbers in our Claims Management Centre.”
People who have experienced damage to their home, contents or vehicle, or think their property may be unsafe due to damage caused by the conditions are encouraged to contact RACT Insurance on 13 27 22.
