Our “Declaration of Independence”
We, Roger and Maureen of the family Bradley on this 1st day of Febrary 2016, want to secede from the Commonwealth of Australia as free citizens under The Australian Constitution 1901.
We want to become a micro-nation of Australia as a independent Sovereign State In the parish of Shekleton, Land District of Wellington, in our Micro-nation of Sandridge Estate, on the North West Coast of Tasmania.
Our allegiance as citizens of the micro-nation Sandridge Estate lies with Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.11 and her successors.
As free Citizens we abide by The Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act of 1901, under the seal of the Lion and the Unicorn.
The Magna Carta is Common Law, it is the law of the land. The Magna Carta deals with different areas of our lives and cultures and is for the protection of our freedoms and our rights.
We believe in democracy, human rights, and the Rule of Law.
We are losing our rights over what we want on our land. We want to set up our own principality, for the good of our family and future generations. We want to protect our children and grandchildren from the world as it is today and we ask, is there a future for us in our home state of Tasmania?
Growing up in 50’s and 60’s, life was very different as a child. Dad went to work and mum stayed home to look after the family of five children. Dad had a vegetable garden and his wage helped clothe and send us to school. Life was simple.
We want that same simplicity in our lives. For us as citizens there is so much bureaucratic red tape that it is constantly in our daily lives. It prevents us from doing what we want on our 630 acres of land, and from earning a living from the land.
The Ten Commandments are the basis for all our freedom and rights for individuals in any nation, at any time.
We want a peaceful and civil society in which we are bound by enduring rules, principles and values of our Constitution as the supreme source of law and authority.
We believe in a Democracy where people are free and have equal rights for every person.
We roger and maureen of the family Bradley have chosen to secede for these reasons.
We have Problems with local council, the Tasmanian Planning Scheme that continually interferes with our rights to do what we want on our 630 acres of land.
We do not support some policies of the Tasmanian and Federal Governments.
We lack a bill of Rights. As citizens we feel we are not safe in Government hands.
We no longer own our country.
The State Government appears to have lied about forestry legislation and now we are faced with destruction in our forests. Forestry Tasmania seems set on destroying all our pristine forests. If they are not destroying our forests then it is mining threatening our environment.
The Tasmanian Government are condoning these operations in the name of jobs.
I (Maureen) have been a volunteer fire fighter for the past 20 years
I (Maureen) have been a volunteer fire fighter for the past 20 years. On numerous occasions putting my life in danger fighting fires in Forestry Tasmanians plantation. I have been peacefully protesting with hundreds of other passionate people who care about their environment, trying to save the Lapoinya coupe from destruction from our government and Forestry Tasmania. All I get from peacefully protesting is a heavy fine or imprisonment under the new anti-protest laws which seems to favour governments and big businesses.
Where is the justice in that.
Our Governments are supposed to be helping the people, but instead it seems to be falling on deaf ears.
We as Australian citizens want to live in a democracy, to enjoy our rights and have a say in how we spend our taxpayers money.
We have been taken to war without having say in the matter. Governments have disarmed its people. So we can’t defend ourselves. We as citizens are not safe in our own country.
Politicians seem as though they are not for the people but against us. We have lost our Sovereignty.
There is a substantial imbalance between government and its agencies in litigation cases against individuals. Government and their departments have the resources including taxpayers money to finance litigation cases against individuals.
We the taxpayers do not have access to these same resources. We use our own money. In most cases we cannot defend our selves against governments or their departments.
The Rule of Law requires government and it’s agencies to be subject to the law, just as individuals are. The Rule of Law requires freedom of speech and the media. People must be free to comment and assemble without fear and be able to criticize the actions of Local, Australian and State Governments.
We Roger and Maureen of the family Bradley want to secede from Australia and become a independent sovereign principality, In the parish of Shekleton, Land District of Wellington in our micro-nation of Sandridge Estate on the North West Coast of Tasmania.
The Attorney-General as the chief lawmaker of this land is there to protect it, and shouldn’t regard environmental law as a nuisance or an inconvenience.
