Launch of a new and unique Tasmanian forest discovery experience

An innovative new tourist attraction, FOREST SECRETS, will be officially launched on Sunday, December 6th 2015, by the Mayor of Derwent Valley Council, Cr Martyn Evans.

The operators, Tony Coleman and David Yacopetti, will outline their program for the summer season 2015-16

Forest Secrets is a Sensory Trail unique in Australia. Armed with a Forest Flavours tucker-box, visitors touch, sniff and taste their way around a fun, easy nature walk in a stunning riverside setting at the forest’s edge. As an added bonus, a viewing area overlooks the best platypus-spotting pool on the Tyenna River. A forest-themed gift shop and gallery completes the experience, with free forest flavours tastings, including honey, chocolate and Valhalla ice creams.

At the launch Tony and David will announce their program of events and activities for the coming season, and will be available for interviews and briefings afterwards. Media and other guests are invited to experience the sensory forest trail for themselves.
