STATE: Erich’s triumph …

The Examiner, the organ of the Right Wing of the Liberal Party in Tasmania has spent the past month – for some completely unknown reason – promoting our Erich Abetz as the Number 1 candidate on the Tasmanian Liberal Party Senate ticket.

They have got their Dead Man Walking over the line against all odds.

The online comments after yesterday’s Front Page headline and story are 23 against and 1 for.

Every Abetzian puff gives the Brain Dead at The Examiner yet another serve from their readership.

As one reader put it in today’s comments: “Take that Malcom”

Personally I am thrilled; delighted … we have a motionless, stone dead, much-hated candidate in our sights who will keep us all amused until the election.

Well done the Liberals in Tasmania.

Only fossils from The Past would put up a candidate that your serving Prime Minister both loathes and detests.

Mantach may yet bring you all undone!

It is all most excellent.

Funny how the Mantach case died until after the election.

Peter, things that are under human control generally happen for a reason. Propaganda exists for a reason, as do education systems, and political parties. They are not natural things, they are creations of people who wanted to achieve a certain result. Such as a disinterested population. Concentrated ownership of media resources amplifies this effect.

Other results can be obtained by people creating other structures that serve other purposes, such as countering the barking effects that move the sheep.

Every now and then a sheep will turn and charge the dog. The dog’s response is most often to turn and retreat. Imagine if all the sheep knew that.

Elizabeth O’Dwyer at #10 asks why Tasmanians continue to elect morons to state and federal government.

Well Elizabeth, we know that intelligent citizens would never elect morons to high office – yet it’s increasingly clear that they get there anyway. How come?

William Mather Lewis, President of the George Washington University from 1923 to 1927, said:

“Today the world is the victim of propaganda because people are not intellectually competent” which is a polite way of saying they really are morons.

So we have morons electing morons – and that’s the answer to your question, Elizabeth.

William Lewis went on to say ”More than anything the United States needs effective citizens competent to do their own thinking” and it’s becoming increasingly obvious that it’s entirely appropriate for us to exchange ‘United States’ with Australia in general – and Tasmania in particular.

Therefore we can easily conclude that one way to reduce Tasmanians’ appalling ignorance and galloping stupidity is to raise the intellectual capacity of its citizens. But how?

A very old but astute colleague of mine said ”If intelligence is not there in the beginning you can’t put it there.”

If that is really so then the Tasmanian situation looks hopeless and so I suggest that we abandon all governance by home-grown Tasmanians and seek it from others – with the initial criterion being, in the absence of special circumstances, that applicants can prove that they were not born and bred in Tasmania.

What is it about Tasmania (I spent my first twenty years there and still love the place) that they continually elect morons to both state and federal government, with the exception of Bob Brown, who was not a Tasmanian anyway, but a greater Tasmanian than any of us.

#5. It is a great idea to reduce the Lieberals quota but ‘Scruffy’ needs to be on the Tasmanian electoral role to be a Candidate. You need voter to stand in his place.

Scruffy notes that the former Dachshund in the Senate crossed the floor to cock his leg on the opposition benches.

The Examiner finds the President of the Senate and therefore the senior Liberal in that House is most pleased that Our Erich is #1 on the ticket.

    Parry lies.

We must ensure that the Liberals do not get 2 quota’s, in the next election.

With this in mind Scruffy will be standing against Abetz for a seat in the Senate.

I can’t tell if its the soaring oratory or the palpable warmth of the man, but I’m now feeling that Eric’s reich could last a thousand years, at least qualitatively.

I’m now working on a film of Eric’s miraculous victory titled “Triumph of the Will” , with the other Will again playing an extra in the crowd scenes.

Another forced tragedy upon the people of Tasmania architected by the person since positioned in their greed-guzzling No 1 spot.

Noooo ha-ha-ha, we cannot disclose the voting results, giggle-snort-splutter-snort-gasp-begin to blather, we are not obliged to you, you should know that.

Meanwhile Malcolm Turnbull has taken up the reading of Sun Tzu the legendary Chinese military thinker and strategist, apparently he is seeking the best method of slaughter to land upon any rebellious Liberal party blood-suckers.

A Liberal party spokesperson advised this author that “Tasmania’s Liberal non-representing-State government really don’t care a dogs dick about the people of Tasmania, we reckon just let them eat cake. Haw-haw-haw-giggle-snort.”

“By the way Don’t you dare start asking me questions about the Australian constitution that’s not playing fair, can’t you just piss off and go and pay a tax or something.”

I posted hastily yesterday as soon as I heard about this – so my comment is lost on the older “Eric” thread. So, I’ll repost, if that’s allowed.

According to the Examiner today (and they’d know) a “FIT, young and energetic” Eric Abetz has been named the Tasmanian Liberal Party’s number one Senate candidate heading into next year’s federal election.

The Examiner also said “The party did not wish to disclose how many votes Senator Abetz won by. “There was debate among delegates, but the outcome is very satisfactory,” Liberal Party state president Geoff Page said outside Launceston’s Hotel Grand Chancellor on Saturday.”

At least the preference-dependent fringe dwellers like Jacqui Lambie will be happy with the inevitable bleeding from the Liberal “above the line” voters.
