The Tasmanian Government is undertaking a program of renewal of its Government business boards with an expression of interest process formally opened today.
The Government wants to hear from anyone with the experience, skills and passion to help shape the future of a range of Government businesses covering financial services, energy, infrastructure, racing and tourism.
The Hodgman Liberal Government wants to encourage a culture of sensible renewal at the Government Business board level. Those who put their hand up as part of this process will be considered when board vacancies occur.
The Government’s public campaign highlights our commitment to contemporary corporate governance principles and ongoing renewal and rejuvenation of government business boards.
The Government remains committed to increasing the number of women on government boards as part of the Women on Boards strategy.
