Loose Canon Chamber Singers and a hand-picked Baroque orchestra directed by Jonathan Wallis, present “Vivaldi’s other Gloria”, a rare performance of Vivaldi’s lesser known ”Gloria RV 588” on Sunday August 2nd at 2:30 pm in Scots Memorial Church, 29 Bathurst St, Hobart.

Vivaldi’s famous Gloria (RV 589) is one of the most popular and often performed works in the choral repertoire but Vivaldi wrote three settings of the Gloria, of which two survive. Also on the program is Vivaldi’s Laudate Dominum RV 606 for choir and strings.

Soloists: Lana Kains (soprano), Helena Markovitch (contralto) and Michael Kregor (tenor).
