A blanket of snow is covering Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa in the Thredbo Valley this afternoon.

The resort, conveniently positioned between the ski fields of Thredbo and Perisher is rarely covered in snow and general manager Anthony Cleary says when it is snowing at the resort it usually means it’s dumping on the mountains.

“It is such a lovely atmosphere here when it is snowing. There’s lots of excitement for guests and staff alike,” said Mr Cleary.

“Guests on a Segway Eco Tour at lunchtime, got the best bonus for braving the cold and discovering the natural environment around the resort,” he said.

Around 10cm of snow fell on the peaks at Thredbo today with a nice fresh layer blanketing the village.
More snow is on the horizon with another cold front with snow forecasted for early next week.

Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa has a limited amount of accommodation available for the remainder of the school holidays with rates starting from $290 per night. Due to the limited availability, booking conditions apply. For all the details call Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa on 1800 020 524 or visit www.lakecrackenback.com.au.
