Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia extends Eid Greetings to all Muslims and fellow Australians
Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia extends its heartiest Eid-Greetings to all Muslims and fellow Australians. More than 3000 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in NSW are expected to join in celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday 18th of July 2015 at Bait-ul-Huda (House of Guidance) mosque, Sydney.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan. Muslims celebrate this joyous day to give thanks for the blessings of Ramadhan. They wear new clothing, cook delicious food and invite friends and neighbours to celebrate with them. Fasting during Ramadhan inspires sympathy for the hungry and needy, and encourages Muslims to donate generously to the poor.
The National President of the Community, Imam I. H. Kauser said:
“We extend our heartiest greetings of this special day in the Muslim calendar to our fellow Australians and pray for the peace and development of our country. My prayer on this special occasion is that may Allah always keep our country safe and prosperous.”
The Eid service will begin with a congregational morning prayer followed by a sermon. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia invites all Australians to join or observe this important holiday.
