My name is Samara Debnam. My former partner Darren Dobson recently pleaded guilty to the murder of Jodi Eaton in February last year.
I want to do something to reduce violence against women and have set up the JODI LAW Foundation https://www.facebook.com/JODIFoundation The JODI LAW Foundation is committed to keeping women safe. It was established in 2014 as a lasting legacy to the memory of Jodi Michele Eaton.
My campaign has the blessing of Jodi’s family and the Bridgewater community and services and local and state parliament.
I am holding a candlelight vigil in Bridgewater on this Friday July 3rd as its Jodi Eaton’s 30th birthday https://www.facebook.com/events/1674877846074483/ we are commited to hold a vigil every year from now on as to raise some grass roots community awareness within my community.
The candlelight vigil is for all women who have fallen victim to and lost their lives due to violence against women. The vigil has partnered with the Breaking the Silence advocacy group and the Rise for Olga group for this year vigil.
The speaker will be Jacquie Putrusma (Liberal member) and Jane from S.H.E counselling services.
