Green must agree today not to accept pay increase
Tasmania’s biggest hypocrite, Labor Leader Bryan Green, is trying to have his cake, and eat it too.
Labor can’t vote against this Bill, and then accept any consequential pay increase as a result of it at a later date.
Mr Green, and each of his Labor colleagues, must commit today not to accept any pay increases that may eventuate as a result of the passage of the Parliamentary Salaries and Superannuation Bill 2015.
The Act lays out a very clear mechanism for any member of Parliament to do so.*
If Mr Green and his colleagues fail today to commit not to accepting any increase, they will be confirmed as the massive hypocrites and frauds that they are.
