Government Crystal Clear on Forestry Tasmania

The Government’s stance on Forestry Tasmania is crystal clear – we’ve ended the taxpayer subsidies and Forestry Tasmania will remain a GBE as we put it on the pathway to long term sustainability.
As we’ve said on a number of occasions in regards to plantations, we’re selling the crop, not the farm.
All Forestry Tasmania is doing is bringing forward the sale of the trees in order to cover operating costs over the transition period.
