Beer trail idea hits the spot
Shadow Tourism Minister Scott Bacon has thrown Labor’s support behind the concept of a Tasmanian beer trail.
“Labor’s proud of the work we did in government supporting both a cider trail and whisky trail,” Mr Bacon said.
“The beer trail naturally compliments those and will be a terrific marketing tool for producers across the state.
“It’s crucial that the websites and advertising material are regularly updated to include new producers.
“Just like the beer itself, we can’t afford to let the supporting material become stale.
“Tasmania’s reputation as a producer of quality beer, cider, wine and spirits is growing by the day.
“A dedication to quality means the Tasmanian brand continues to be enhanced.
“It’s a very exciting time for tourism and hospitality in the state and we must continue to think of innovative ways to market ourselves.”
